Dr. Sindhu Joshi is a Senior Consultant Physician and Postgraduate Teacher at Mahavir Hospital and Research Centre in Hyderabad. She has been working at this hospital since 2001, and can also be consulted at her private clinic located at Kachiguda. In addition, she visits Woodlands Hospital in Barkatpura.

Dr. Joshi's professional objective is to carry out research studies in internal medicine and allied specialties so as to practice evidence-based medicine for the benefit of her patients. To this end she has collaborated on a large number of clinical trials as principal investigator and in other capacities.

Dr. Sindhu holds an MBBS from Bangalore Medical College, and is also a Diplomate of the National Board (DNB) in Medicine, a title she attained in 1999. She is a Fellow in Endocrinology (Bangalore) and a Member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences. Dr. Joshi has been actively involved in the executive/organising committees at the Association of Physicians of India (API) and the Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI). She is also a Founder Member of the Indian Women Scientists' Association (IWSA).

Dr. Joshi served as an Assistant Professor at KIMS Bangalore in 2000-01. Currently she teaches Internal Medicine to resident doctors at Mahavir Hospital, who are in training for the DNB exams.
